The two-day symposium will take place at Alán’s alma mater in Coyoacán on the first day and in the heart of Mexico City, within walking distance of the historic center, on the second day. Sessions, meals, and the closing fiesta are all within a few blocks of one another, and transportation will be provided for more distant locations.
Antiguo Colegio de San Ildefonso
Sessions take place at the Anfiteatro Simón Bolívar, the historic muralist amphitheater inside San Ildefonso in the Centro Histórico — steps from the Zócalo.

At this time of year, Mexico City has mild high-altitude weather: warm days (~22 °C), cool evenings, and occasional afternoon rain. Expect strong daytime sun and cooler nights; bring sunscreen and a light jacket.
Muralism & Mezcal
While in Mexico City, participants will have the opportunity to visit the murals of Diego Rivera and José Clemente Orozco at Antiguo Colegio de San Ildefonso, explore the Frida Kahlo Museum, and enjoy a mezcal tasting.
